Bekah in Bogotá
About Bekah
Before moving to Bogotá, Colombia, I lived and worked in Goshen, IN. I graduated from Eastern Mennonite University in 2015 and went on to obtain a masters in peace studies and theology from Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary in 2018. In Goshen, I worked part-time at the public library and part-time writing grants for Africa Inter-Mennonite Mission.
I am deeply committed to the Mennonite church and joining in God's mission of reconciliation and peace-making in the world. My desire is to live a life of wholly dedicated witness to our risen Lord and Savior, the ultimate peace-maker, Jesus Christ. This passion comes not only from my seminary studies, but also out of my growing up years spent in Romania. My parents have been serving part of the global church in Bucharest, Romania for the past 25 years - 17 of which I was with them.
In my spare time, I love reading mystery novels, knitting warm sweaters, drinking tea, and (when the weather allows it) taking a long bike ride!
